Seamless Design | Deploy Services

Why You Need the Seamless Design | Deploy Services

Our Network Virtualization Design and Deployment Service delivers a functioning solution using VMware NSX™ for vSphere® that expands the power of virtualization and automation to data center networking services. This service provides rapid deployment of virtual networking capabilities.

The engagement can assess, design and deploy the following NSX technologies:

  • Multi-Tenant Configuration.
  • Micro-segmentation.
  • NSX Manager.
  • Distributed Firewall.
  • Distributed Logical Routers.
  • Edge Gateways.
  • Complex Load Balancing.
  • Cross vCenter NSX Configuration and Policies.
  • VPN.
  • 3rd Party Integration.

The Seamless Design | Deploy Services will:

  • Conduct information-gathering workshop to determine design requirements.
  • Validate design requirements and constraints.
  • Identify and discuss use cases.
  • Conduct architecture design workshops.
  • Design a network virtualization solution to meet selected use cases for non-production use.
  • Implement the network virtualization design in the validated vSphere environment(s).
  • Validate the solution according to the technical validation plan.
  • Conduct a knowledge transfer session on the implemented solution.

The Seamless Network Virtualization Design and Deployment Service delivers a functioning solution using VMware NSX™ for vSphere® that expands the power of virtualization and automation to data center networking services. This service provides rapid deployment of virtual networking capabilities.

Throughout the engagement, your IT Support Team will benefit from the knowledge transfer and whiteboard discussions with the Seamless Team. Your IT Support Team will learn best practices, implementation insights, and the impact of the environment design on performance and manageability. At the conclusion of the engagement, you will have an actionable, prioritized roadmap for a recommended deployment.

About the Seamless Professional Services Team
The Seamless Team consists of engineers that are all VMware Certified, Architects that develop design options in conjunction with VMware best practices and methodologies to ensure consistency and the highest level of infrastructure performance.

NSX Virtualization  – Assessment, Design, and Deploy SAS Client
Project Initiation

Hold initial meeting with client to set expectations and define the following:

• Project scope and objectives.
• Project timelines, scheduling, and logistics.
• Identify key Customer project team members to work with the Seamless team.
• Identify and agree to key Customer activity completion dates.
• Review the Service Checklist document and progress towards completing it.
• Availability of appropriate facilities including meeting rooms, work locations,     whiteboards, projectors, special access needs, any other pertinent information needed prior to Seamless arriving onsite.
• Prerequisites and other preparation required before the project kickoff.

Assess
Review the hardware and software infrastructure in the deployment.
Review use cases to be deployed.
Review currently deployed configuration to validate against best practices and well as against desired use cases.
Develop assessment documentation addressing any gaps discovered and outlining remediation plans.
Review and capture the technical requirements impacting the solution.
Review configuration information regarding network architecture, infrastructure services, server hardware specifications, and other relevant infrastructure components.
Design
Work with client to identify additional cross-datacenter use cases that will need to be included in the deployment
Work with client to develop an architecture to deploy, based on defined use cases
Develop deployment plan for defined architecture.
Deploy and Validate
Validate infrastructure for deployment, including infrastructure servers (such as PXE, DNS, and NTP), automation scripts, and download of all required software.
  Deploy NSX for vSphere components.
Complete base configuration for NSX components.
Validate base functionality of NSX components.
Implement configuration to achieve technical objectives as specified during the Design phase.
Execute test cases to validate the design.
Validation review – Review environment and discuss testing results.
Make modifications as determined through validation.
Execute test cases to validate design modification.
Develop and finalize Architectural Design Document.
Knowledge Transfer and Closeout
Best practices for deployed infrastructure components.
NSX login call networks and security.
Backup, restore, and upgrade of the deployed solution.
  Engagement review.
